Random Thoughts of a Dark Sider

Cary’s wonderful book is designed to set out the random thoughts of a dark sider, that is, one who (in a classical sense), fishes with flies subsurface, using an indicator.  The book focuses on trout as the quarry, and primarily centers on indicator fishing and using flies that generally resemble subsurface invertebrates.  These includes mayflies, damsels, caddis, snails, leeches, and most particularly, midges.  Chapters include the Introduction, the Mentor, Floating Object, Equipment, Fly Tying, Strategies, Venues, the Epilogue and Acknowledgements.

Those who fished with Cary witnessed the level of skill he had developed over the many years and venues he'd fished.  Those who had not may benefit from the wisdom shared within the covers of his book, the proceeds of which go to the club.
